The health and safety of all our people is our top priority. We treat them fairly, uphold their rights and reward them competitively, in line with their contribution to our success.
We believe all fatalities and injuries are preventable and that safe workplaces result from a strong safety commitment on the part of both management and workforce. We continually work to improve our safety performance across our business.
Our governance framework includes our Values, Code of Conduct and other policies and guidelines. Our sustainability framework represents our commitment to uphold good business practices and to meet or exceed applicable laws and external requirements.
We will not knowingly assist any third party in breaching the law, or participate in any criminal, fraudulent or corrupt practice in any country. Our managers and supervisors are responsible for ensuring that employees understand and comply with the policies.
COMMITTIEES
One of the cornerstones of SNR management philosophy is assessment, identification and management of business, finance and HSEC risks. To ensure these are appropriately managed two committees have been set up to oversee this critical element.

Function:
To oversee, provide direct feedback and take requisite actions regarding the fiscal & commercial management of the company. It is structured, documented and meets on a bi-monthly basis.
HSEC & Business Risk Committee:

Function:
To oversee, provide direct feedback and take appropriate actions regarding the HSEC, Business risks and associated management of the company. It is structured, documented and meets on a bi-monthly basis.
REPORTING
SNR provides open, accurate and transparent reports to its investors and shareholders.
SNR will also provide accurate and timely reporting to the required government agencies and associated external bodies.

We aim to operate a safe workplace that is injury and fatality free, and to enhance the well-being of employees, contractors and our community.

Provide and maintain a positive safety culture, behaviour and awareness;

Identify and mitigate or eliminate safety, occupational and community health and hygiene hazards;

Report, manage and learn from injuries, illnesses and high potential incidents; and

Prepare for and effectively respond to emergencies and crises.
We aim to preserve the long-term health, function, and viability of the natural environments affected by our operations.
We will :

Act as responsible caretakers of our owners’ assets and operate to high environmental standards;

Eliminate, mitigate or remediate the environmental impacts of our activities and adverse environmental incidents;

Continually improve the efficiency with which we use raw materials , energy and natural resources;

Reduce our direct and indirect effects on climate change;

Reduce harmful emissions of air, water and land; and

Reduce waste.
We contribute to the social and economic development of communities associated with our operation.
We will :

Identify the stakeholders associated with our operation and actively engage with them in a transparent manner;

Work with governments, local authorities, community representatives and other interested parties to develop and support projects that benefit the community associated with our operation; and

We work to minimize adverse impacts of our operations on the local community.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The Risk Management processes and practices are linked to the Company's strategy/ business planning process, and are the integrated mechanisms used to drive continuous improvement of performance by :

Identifying risk management measures that will affect and improve performance

Define the controls that are critical to providing performance assurance

Defining risk reduction plans and associated responsibilities to inform performance reviews.
