We are a group of highly experienced individuals from the resources industry that are working towards the common objective of growing a globally diversified resource, mining and trading company.
The internationally experienced management team have repeatedly demonstrated success in delivery for major resources companies. This team will be supported by locally engaged operational based personnel. Stella Natural Resources will manage operations at its recently acquired assets and will employ existing skilled labor from the local regions, providing employment and benefits to the local community.
DAVID STONE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
David is a highly successful leader with more than 25 years experience in global corporations including Xstrata, BHP, Anglo American, MIM, Cline Mining Corp, WCL & TerraCom. He has operated businesses in Australia, North America, Asia and South Africa in executive, senior management, project development, technical and operations roles.
David has repeatedly demonstrated transformational ability with a focus of creating shareholder & investor value.
David has a Bachelor of Mining Engineering, Diploma of Risk Management and a Diploma with the Australian Institute of Company Directors on Board Governance. He also holds Mine Manager, Senior Site Executive and Statutory qualifications.
KARL ARNOLD CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Karl has more than 20 years experience in the resources sector, including roles in Australia, Africa, South America and Asia. During this period, Karl has become proficient in all mining elements and processes including financial planning and analysis, strategic planning and scenario modelling, major project valuations, acquisitions and mergers and business metrics design and implementation.
Karl has held multiple CFO positions including with an ASX listed diversified resources company and as Regional CFO for the Glencore Australian Zinc Division.
Karl has a Bachelor of Business (majoring in accounting).
MATTHEW BRUFF EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER - LEGAL, COMMERICAL & COMPLIANCE (GENERAL COUNSEL)
Matthew is a multidisciplinary executive with over 24 years of experience in the natural resource, law, technology commercialization, and sustainability sectors. Matthew has founded multiple private equity-funded natural resource technology companies, holding board, senior executive, and operational positions.
He has acquired numerous precedent-setting legal and regulatory permits, both within the U.S. and internationally, in support of first-ever resource recovery, waste-to-asset and beneficial re-use projects. Matthew is a named inventor on several patents (US and international) dealing with wastewater treatment and re-use. Matthew has a dual Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Management and International Management. Matthew also has a Juris Doctorate, as well as an MBA in Policy, Environment and Economics.
ANDRE DOUCHANE EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER - METALS
Andre is a seasoned mining executive with over 40 years of experience in the mining industry with a solid track record of successfully bringing development projects into production.
He was appointed to the Board of Directors of North American Palladium Ltd in April 2003, served as the President and CEO between 2003 and 2006, and as Chairman between 2006 and 2013.
Previously, he held senior positions with several precious and base metal international mining companies including: as CEO of Mahdia Gold Corp, CEO of THEMAC Resources Group Ltd., President and CEO of Starfield Resources Inc., President and COO of Chief Consolidated Mining Co., and Vice President, Operations of Franco and Euro-Nevada (Newmont Mining Corporation).
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and is a graduate of the Executive Business Program at the Kellogg School of Business in Chicago.
Michael has been involved in the establishment and management of successful public and private companies in mining, exploration & development, mining consulting services and mining contractor services.
He is a 30 year plus mining industry veteran with a BE Mining and an MBA. He is also a qualified Coal Mine Manager and a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He has worked for blue-chip mining companies at operations in Australia and internationally. These roles covered the full life cycle of open cut and underground mines from resource exploration and evaluation, through conceptual design, pre-feasibility, feasibility, construction, operation and management.
